Brooks Koepka Says Goodbye to LIV Golf in 2026<\/h2>\n\n\nThe renowned golfer, Brooks Koepka, will not continue in the LIV Golf league after the 2025 season, according to the league itself.\n\nThe announcement, made on Tuesday, reveals that Koepka, a five-time major winner, will be replaced by Talor Gooch as captain of the Smash GC team.\n\n\n

We have amicably and mutually agreed that Brooks Koepka will no longer compete in the LIV Golf League after the 2025 season. Brooks is prioritizing his family’s needs and staying closer to home. We appreciate the significant impact he has had on the game and wish him continued success, both on and off the course.<\/p>\n\nScott O’Neil, CEO of the LIV Golf League<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nKoepka, 35, joined the Saudi-backed league in June 2022. He reportedly had one year left on his contract, worth over $100 million.\n\nKoepka’s management team issued a statement thanking Yasir Al-Rumayyan, governor of the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund; O’Neil and the LIV Golf League management team; his teammates and the fans.\n\n\n

Family has always guided Brooks’ decisions, and he feels this is the right time to spend more time at home. Brooks will continue to be a great supporter of LIV Golf and wishes the league and its players continued success. Brooks remains passionate about the game of golf and will keep fans updated on what’s to come.<\/p>\n\nKoepka Management Team<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\nKoepka’s wife, Jena, announced on social media in October that she had suffered a miscarriage at 16 weeks. The couple has a 2-year-old son, Crew.\n\nIt’s not yet clear when Koepka might be allowed to return to the PGA Tour if he wishes.\n\nSources reported that Koepka informed the PGA Tour of his plan to leave LIV Golf before announcing his departure.\n\n\n

\"Brooks<\/figure>\n\n\nBrooks Koepka became the first LIV Golf player to win five individual competitions, the most recent in August 2024, but struggled last season, finishing 31st out of 54 golfers in the individual season points standings.\n\nThe PGA Tour does not disclose or publicly comment on disciplinary matters.\n\nKoepka won five individual competitions, the most recent at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, in August 2024.\n\nIn the previous season, he finished in 31st place among 54 golfers in the individual points ranking.\n\nKoepka was runner-up in a tournament in Singapore in March, but did not finish in the top 15 in his last eight participations.\n\nKoepka missed the cut in three of the four majors last season; he tied for 12th at the U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pennsylvania.\n\nHis performance was better in the last two of his four appearances on the DP World Tour; he was fourth in the French Open in Paris and tied for 15th place in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at Carnoustie Golf Links in Scotland.\n\nIf Koepka doesn’t return to the PGA Tour, he would still be eligible to play in the four majors due to his five-year exemption for winning the 2023 PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York.\n\n\n
