Unrivaled: Women’s 3×3 Basketball League Comes to Philadelphia

The innovative women’s 3-on-3 basketball league, led by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, is preparing for an exciting second season. The event will take place in Philadelphia, marking a significant milestone for the sport. On January 30, 2026, four teams will compete in a series of matches at the Xfinity Mobile Arena, home of the NBA’s 76ers and the NHL’s Flyers. This event will be held under the league’s standard format. The participating teams will be announced in November, when Unrivaled reveals the full schedule. This event, billed as the league’s first “official stop,” marks the return of professional women’s basketball to Philadelphia since 1998.

This innovative league is intended to elevate the women’s basketball ecosystem as a whole, and we are honored that Philadelphia has been chosen as its first stop.

The main headquarters of Unrivaled will remain the Wayfair Arena, the 850-seat stadium in Miami, where the inaugural season matches were played, which concluded in March. This initiative is part of Unrivaled’s strategy to ensure long-term sustainability, driven in part by its fan engagement strategies. The league has already announced the expansion from six to eight teams and has secured even more investment funding, raising its valuation to $340 million before its second season. Numerous WNBA stars have confirmed their participation in the second season, including Collier, Stewart, Brittney Griner, and Alyssa Thomas. Among the new additions this season are Paige Bueckers, Kelsey Plum, and Sonia Citron. The league reported that 46 of the 48 roster spots have already been filled, which has generated anticipation among fans about which stars will complete the team. Speculation on social media has focused on Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, who did not participate in the inaugural season, but could join the tournament. It has not been officially confirmed yet.

Some of the players with whom we are in productive negotiations need a little more time, and we are committed to giving our athletes the space to make important decisions on their own terms. That means we still have two spots on the roster, and we are eager to announce who will fill them soon.
