Naz Hillmon Makes History with the Atlanta Dream, Winner of the Sixth Player of the Year Award

Atlanta Dream forward Naz Hillmon has been awarded the WNBA Sixth Player of the Year. This historic achievement makes her the first player in the franchise to obtain this prestigious recognition. Hillmon demonstrated his worth on the court, averaging 8.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. His performance was further highlighted by his impressive 53 three-pointers, a significant jump compared to his performance in previous seasons.

Hillmon, who came off the bench in 27 of the Dream’s 44 games, set a franchise record by participating in 150 consecutive games. The player, coming from the University of Michigan, also stood out in the league with a plus-minus of +7.6 per game, contributing significantly to Atlanta’s third-place finish and achieving a record of 30 wins in its seventeenth season. This award adds to the recognition as the Sixth Woman of the Year by the AP, obtained earlier this month.
