Minnesota Lynx Clinch Spot in WNBA Playoffs

However, this has not stopped the Lynx, who maintain a 27-5 record. The team is currently on a five-game winning streak and has won 9 of their last 10 games. The next two Minnesota games will be against the New York Liberty, their rival in the 2024 WNBA Finals, on August 16th and 19th. Founded in 1999, the Minnesota team, which has won four WNBA titles, prepares for its sixteenth playoff appearance, with 14 of them in the last 15 years. The WNBA regular season will conclude on September 11, with eight teams competing in the playoffs. The first round will be a best-of-three series, the semifinals a best-of-five, and the Finals, for the first time, a best-of-seven.
