Chicago will host the WNBA All-Star Game in 2026
The city of Chicago is preparing to host the WNBA All-Star Game in 2026, the league announced on Thursday. The event will take place at the United Center on Saturday, July 25th. This will be the second time Chicago hosts this prestigious event. The first time was in 2022, although on that occasion the game was played at the Wintrust Arena, the main venue of the Chicago Sky of the WNBA. The United Center, home to the NBA’s Bulls and the NHL’s Blackhawks, offers a much larger capacity, with around 20,900 seats for basketball, compared to the 10,380 of the Wintrust Arena. Despite this, Wintrust Arena will play an important role in the All-Star festivities, as it will be the stage for the three-point contest and the skills challenge, scheduled for July 24. WNBA Live, the interactive festival for the league’s fans, will be held at McCormick Place in Chicago during All-Star weekend. The WNBA is thrilled to bring the AT&T WNBA All-Star back to Chicago, which will undoubtedly offer an unforgettable competition and community outreach activities. Together with the Chicago Sky, we look forward to celebrating the brightest stars of the game, engaging WNBA fans from around the world, and showcasing the energy of one of the most iconic basketball cities.
