HENDERSON, Nev. – Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has been fined $200 for a social media comment, according to the player herself.
Clark’s comment criticized the refereeing during his team’s recent playoff series victory against the Atlanta Dream.
“I was fined $200 for this haha,” Clark posted on X, along with laughing emojis. The post included a screenshot of a comment on Instagram where he wrote: “The referees couldn’t stop us.”
“It was a football game,” Aces coach Becky Hammon said Saturday, referring to the Fever-Dream series. “There were bodies flying all over the place. Frankly, it made for some very ugly basketball and I think it’s something the league has to look at.”
Becky HammonClark, Cunningham, and three other Fever players have had to watch the playoffs from the bench after suffering injuries that prevented them from playing the rest of the season. Damiris Dantas was also ruled out during the first round due to a concussion. Her status for the semifinals is uncertain. «THE BANK WILL BE EVEN NOISIER TOMORROW LET’S GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!», Clark also said in the X post.
