Świątek Mounts Comeback, Conquers Korea Open in Tough Battle

In an exciting match at the Korea Open, the world’s number one tennis player, Iga Świątek, achieved an impressive comeback to defeat Ekaterina Alexandrova, the second seed, with scores of 1-6, 7-6 (3), 7-5. The match took place at the Seoul Olympic Park Tennis Center and lasted nearly three hours.Świątek, despite a complicated start, demonstrated her tenacity and ability to overcome an unfavorable first set. During the match, Świątek conceded her serve on five occasions, had fewer aces than her opponent (6-2), committed nine double faults and, in general, accumulated fewer points than Alexandrova.

I’m happy to have won here because of the family history. My father couldn’t win at the Olympics, but at least I won this tournament. I hope he comes next year to enjoy everything.
