Iga Swiatek Advances Dominantly at the National Bank Open

Wimbledon champion Iga Swiatek demonstrated her superiority at the National Bank Open by defeating China’s Guo Hanyu with a score of 6-3, 6-1. This triumph marks her successful return to competition after her victory at Wimbledon. Swiatek, who previously defeated Amanda Anisimova in the Wimbledon final, extended her winning streak to 24 consecutive games. The Polish tennis player dominated from the start, securing a 4-0 lead in the first set.

I think I played a very solid match today. Playing the first match on hard court after a rather long break from the surface is always tricky, so I’m happy that I focused on myself, adapting to the conditions and playing well.
