Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina, former world number 3, has announced that she will end her tennis season earlier than expected due to her emotional state. Through a social media post, Svitolina expressed that she doesn’t feel at her best and is not ready to compete, so she decided to end her season.

Svitolina married French tennis player Gael Monfils in 2021 and they have a daughter named Skai, born in 2022. Brazilian tennis player Beatriz Haddad Maia also announced that she will end her 2025 season to take a break. Haddad Maia stated that she needs to rest her body and mind for a longer period, ensuring that she will return stronger.
