Serena and Venus Williams Launch into the Podcast World
The legendary tennis sisters and stars, Serena and Venus Williams, are exploring new horizons with the launch of their own podcast. Serena, who culminated her successful career at the 2022 US Open, and Venus, who continues to actively compete on the circuit, are joining forces to share their experiences and perspectives beyond the courts.
The podcast, titled “Stockton Street”, pays homage to its home in Compton, California. The show will premiere on Wednesday on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, and will air every two weeks.
The inaugural episode was recorded at the iconic Arthur Ashe Stadium, the setting for six of Serena’s 23 Grand Slam singles titles and two of Venus’s seven.
Venus, at 45 years old, recently became the oldest player to participate in singles at the US Open since 1981. Her return to competition in July marked the end of a 16-month absence.
