Rybakina Conquers Ningbo Open and Adds Her Tenth WTA Title

NINGBO, China – Elena Rybakina showcased her power by coming back from a set down to defeat Ekaterina Alexandrova in the Ningbo Open final. The final score was 3-6, 6-0, 6-2, thus securing her tenth WTA title.

Rybakina, seeded number three, had a hesitant start, allowing Alexandrova, her Russian opponent, to take a 4-1 lead in the first set. However, the Kazakhstani tennis player reacted strongly in the second set, imposing her game and dominating her rival, who was the fourth seed. Rybakina strung together nine consecutive games and connected 11 aces.

This triumph represents Rybakina’s second title of the year. The excellent performance of the Kazakh player in this final stage of the season keeps her in the fight for a place in the WTA Finals, which will take place in Riyadh in November.
