Krejcikova Wins in Eastbourne After an Epic Duel
Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova demonstrated her composure on the grass court of the Eastbourne Open. In an exciting first-round match, the Czech tennis player saved two match points against Britain’s Harriet Dart, coming back to secure the victory.
Dart, with a 40-15 lead on serve and leading 5-4 in the deciding set, forced Krejcikova to bring out her best. Ultimately, Krejcikova, the second seed of the tournament, managed to prevail with scores of 6-3, 6-7 (4), 7-5.
This victory represents only Krejcikova’s second triumph of the season. Her start was delayed until May due to a back injury.
