Carreño Busta managed to save five consecutive set points in the tiebreak before defeating the veteran German with a score of 6-4, 7-6 (6).
Granollers and Martínez surprised Pütz and Krawietz, inflicting only their second defeat on them in the Davis Cup.
This victory boosts the Spanish team, which did not have the presence of Carlos Alcaraz, number 1 in the world due to an injury, to its first final in six years.
In the final, Spain will face Italy, the defending two-time champion, who defeated Belgium on Friday.
