Taylor Fritz Starts Strong at the DC Open
The American tennis player Taylor Fritz, seeded number one, began his hard court season in North America with an outstanding performance at the DC Open. Fritz demonstrated his power by connecting 11 aces and saving the only break point he faced, securing a 6-3 and 6-2 victory over Aleksandar Vukic.
Fritz arrives at this tournament after reaching the semifinals at Wimbledon, showing a great level of play in the current season.
The tennis player will seek to repeat last year’s success at this stage of the season, where he reached his first Grand Slam final at the US Open.
