Alcaraz Surprises with New Look at the US Open

One of the most talked-about news stories on the second day of the US Open was not precisely a match, but a makeover of tennis player Carlos Alcaraz. Alcaraz, known for his style on the court, appeared with a radically different haircut: a shaved head. This change generated mixed reactions and quickly went viral. The Spanish tennis player, who used to sport his usual haircut in the US Open previews, surprised everyone by showing up on the practice courts with a new look. Golf star Rory McIlroy, upon seeing Alcaraz, did not hesitate to approach him to touch his head and ask him about the change.

“I just got a haircut I was struggling with. I had to start again,” Alcaraz explained to McIlroy.

McIlroy, after examining the new cut, praised it. However, the opinion of his colleague and friend, the American tennis player Frances Tiafoe, was different. Tiafoe, after winning his first-round match, approached Alcaraz and, visibly surprised, called the cut “horrible”.

“It’s terrible. It’s definitely terrible. But it’s my guy,” Tiafoe joked. “It’s funny, I looked at him and thought, ‘I guess you’re aerodynamic now’”.
