USWNT vs. Italy: Friendlies in Florida close out 2025, ¡Must-see!

The United States women’s national team will face Italy in two friendly matches in Florida, marking the end of their 2025 schedule. This was confirmed by the United States Soccer Federation.The first encounter will take place at Inter & Co. Stadium in Orlando on November 28, right after Thanksgiving. The second match will be played on December 1 at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale.

As we prepare for the World Cup qualifiers at the end of 2026, we want to play against teams from all over the world with different styles and strengths. Facing Italy, one of the rising European teams, will be an excellent way to end the year.

These matches will represent the first friendlies in Florida for the USWNT since 2023, when they beat China 3-0 at Chase Stadium.

Italy, currently ranked number 12 in the world, arrives at these matches after reaching the semi-finals of the UEFA Women’s European Championship, where they lost 2-1 to England.The Women’s Euro 2025 marked the first time Italy reached the semi-finals of the tournament since 1997.The last match between the United States and Italy was in November 2010, when the Americans won a World Cup qualifying series with a 2-0 aggregate score, securing their qualification for the 2011 World Cup.Italy was the USWNT’s first opponent, in 1985, when the American program began. The United States won that match 1-0.
