Manchester United Pays Tribute to Diogo Jota
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, along with Diogo Dalot and coach Rúben Amorim, went to Anfield on Monday to pay tribute to their compatriots Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva. The Portuguese contingent of United laid a wreath among the tributes outside Anfield. Fernandes and Dalot shared a locker room with Jota and were part of the team that won the Nations League in June. Liverpool forward Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva died in a car accident near Zamora, Spain, on July 3rd.The message on the flowers also included “With deepest condolences from everyone at Manchester United”. Liverpool retired the number 20 shirt in honor of Jota at all levels of the men’s and women’s teams. The team returned to first-team action for the first time since Jota’s death against Preston North End on Saturday, in a match dominated by tributes.Rest in peace Diogo and André
