Tottenham Hotspur in Talks for Savinho, but Manchester City Resists

Tottenham Hotspur have initiated talks to sign Savinho, but Manchester City are reluctant to let the Brazilian winger go, according to sources close to the club. City doesn’t want to lose Savinho and, for his departure to happen, the 21-year-old player will have to pressure to force the transfer. Pep Guardiola, normally, does not stand in the way of players who express their desire to seek new challenges. If Savinho expresses his intention to join the Spurs to the club, City will demand a figure exceeding 50 million pounds.
Savinho impressed in his first season at the Etihad Stadium, following his arrival last summer. He was a regular player in Guardiola’s team, scoring three goals in 48 appearances in all competitions. During the 2023-24 season, his performances helped Girona qualify for the Champions League, with nine goals in 37 LaLiga matches. Savinho’s loss could lead City to look for a replacement in the transfer market. The incorporation of Rayan Cherki, from Lyon, has been the only offensive addition to Guardiola’s team so far this summer, following the arrival of Omar Marmoush, from Eintracht Frankfurt, in January.
