Sørloth Sets Record in La Liga with Historic Hat-Trick
The forward Alexander Sørloth starred in a historic moment in La Liga, by scoring the fastest hat-trick in the history of the competition. The Atlético Madrid player achieved this feat during the match against Real Sociedad.
Sørloth scored three goals in a span of just three minutes and 57 seconds, leaving the fans present in the stadium stunned.
The Norwegian striker opened the scoring with a volley after a cross from Pablo Barrios. Subsequently, he extended the lead with an angled shot that went in near the post. The third goal came after a rebound caused by a clearance from Jon Martín that hit Aritz Elustondo, leaving the ball at the mercy of Sørloth.
Sørloth’s fourth goal came in the 30th minute, controlling a pass from Samuel Lino and scoring against goalkeeper Álex Remiro.
This achievement places Sørloth in the history of La Liga, surpassing speed records in achieving a hat-trick in the 21st century.
Only Edmundo Suárez, with Valencia in 1941, has scored four goals in a match in a shorter time.
