Sevilla fans storm the training ground after the defeat
SEVILLE, Spain – A large group of Sevilla fans were forced to enter the club’s training ground on Saturday. The frustration of the supporters, after a disappointing season, reached its peak after another defeat.The club confirmed that the players spent the night at the facilities for security reasons and to focus on recovery after the 3-2 defeat against Celta de Vigo, who played with ten men.
The entity also reported that a group of supporters, identified as the most violent, knocked down a metal gate at one of the vehicle entrances to the training ground. At midnight, local time, all the fans had left the facilities.
Cadena SER radio reported that the police used rubber bullets to disperse the most aggressive groups.
Sevilla is in sixteenth position, with a six-point advantage over the relegation zone. The team has three matches left to play this season.
