Nuno Espírito Santo Extends His Contract with Nottingham Forest

Technical director Nuno Espírito Santo has renewed his contract with Nottingham Forest until the summer of 2028, as announced by the Premier League club this Saturday. This extension comes after a successful season in which the team managed to qualify for a European competition for the first time since the 1995-96 season. The Portuguese coach, who previously managed Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur, joined Forest in December 2023. His arrival was crucial to avoid the team’s relegation and subsequently, he led the club to a seventh place in the 2024-25 season, marking their best campaign in the top category in three decades. The Forest almost secured a place in the Champions League, finishing one point behind Newcastle United, who finished in fifth place. This earned them a spot in the Conference League playoff round.

I am delighted to be able to continue our journey at this fantastic club.

In a statement following the signing of the new three-year contract, Nuno expressed his satisfaction: “We have worked very hard to create a special bond between the players, the fans and everyone at the club, which helped us achieve great things last season. Now it’s time to work harder than ever as we fight for more special memories together.”
