Enzo Maresca, Chelsea’s coach, suspended after incident against Liverpool

Chelsea’s coach, Enzo Maresca, has been suspended for one match following his expulsion during the match against Liverpool on October 4th. The Football Association (FA) confirmed that Maresca admitted the charges of improper conduct, after being sent off in the sixth minute of added time after enthusiastically celebrating his team’s winning goal. In addition to the suspension, Maresca will have to pay a fine of 8,000 pounds sterling.
Enzo Maresca ran to the sidelines to celebrate Chelsea’s winning goal against Liverpool.The Italian coach will not be able to manage Chelsea in the Premier League match against Nottingham Forest next Saturday. Maresca, according to reports, told Italian media that his reaction was “instinctive” and added: “But I think the red card was worth it.”
