Maracanã and 7 More Venues Will Vibrate with the Women’s World Cup 2027! Brazil Ready for the Football Party

The Maracanã stadium, an icon of world football, will be one of the eight venues in Brazil to host matches of the 2027 Women’s World Cup, the first edition to be held in Latin America, FIFA announced on Wednesday.

In addition to the iconic stadium in Rio de Janeiro, the 64 matches of the competition will be played in:

  • Belo Horizonte (Mineirão Stadium)
  • Brasilia (National Stadium)
  • Fortaleza (Arena Castelão)
  • Porto Alegre (Estadio Beira-Rio)
  • Recife (Arena Pernambuco)
  • Salvador (Arena Fonte Nova)
  • São Paulo (Arena Itaquera)

From samba to frevo, from stunning beaches to cosmopolitan cities, the world will experience the energy, color, and warmth that only Brazil can offer.

Infantino added that they will continue to work closely with the selected host cities to create unforgettable moments in each of their stadiums in 2027, ensuring a positive and widespread impact of the tournament.

The tournament, which will be played between June 24 and July 25, 2027, will feature the participation of 32 teams.

The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 will mark a historic milestone by heading to South America for the first time.
