Jackson, who was already in Munich when the deal seemed to be falling apart, finally passed the medical and signed a contract on Monday, after the Blues accepted a loan fee of 16.5 million euros with the obligation to sign the 24-year-old permanently for 65 million euros in the summer of 2026.
This deal is slightly better than the one Bayern had on Saturday morning, hours before the deal fell through for fear that Delap could be out for at least two months.
The injury led Chelsea to cancel their agreement with Bayern for Jackson, which consisted of a loan of 15 million euros and a fixed fee of 65 million euros to be paid next year, as they needed to cover the striker position with only João Pedro as a recognized senior striker.

Brobbey has not yet played for Ajax in the Eredivisie this season and the 23-year-old player will head to the Premier League to bolster Sunderland’s attacking options.
