Forward Alexander Isak has returned to training with Newcastle United this Monday, after missing the club’s pre-season tour of Asia. The news comes amid speculation about his future.
Isak was training at his former club, Real Sociedad, to recover from a “minor thigh injury.” The club reported that this injury prevented him from participating in the friendlies in Asia.
Last week it was reported that Liverpool had a bid of up to £110 million rejected for Isak, and that the club does not plan a follow-up offer unless Newcastle sign a replacement striker.
