Viktor Gyökeres, Sporting CP’s star forward, withdraws from the Swedish national team due to injury.

Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres has been ruled out of the upcoming international friendlies against Hungary and Algeria due to an injury.

The Swedish Football Association reported that the injury is “minor,” without offering further details about its nature. Gyökeres, after being evaluated by the team doctors, left the concentration in Bosön.

Gyökeres had an exceptional season with Sporting CP, scoring 48 goals and winning the league and cup in Portugal.
