Frank: “We don’t want players who don’t want to be at the club”

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has made it clear that he does not want to have players who are not committed to the club and who are not proud to wear their shirt. These statements come after the team apparently missed the opportunity to sign Eberechi Eze, a player from Crystal Palace. According to sources, Tottenham were confident of closing the deal with the English international after reaching an agreement with Palace and with Eze himself. However, Arsenal intervened and agreed on a transfer that could amount to £67.5 million ($91 million). Eze, a recognized Arsenal follower since his childhood, was apparently willing to join the club when it initially showed interest.

To be clear, I don’t want players who don’t want to come to the club. If they don’t want to come and wear this fantastic badge, we don’t want them here. And I’m sure the fans would feel the same.

Frank added: “If they don’t want to wear the fantastic shirt, play for the badge, play for the club, really enjoy it, there’s no problem. Then we don’t want them there. I think that’s a key message.”
