Liverpool forward Luis Díaz has expressed his desire to stay at Anfield, amid speculation about his future.
Díaz, who arrived at Liverpool from FC Porto in 2022, has two years remaining on his contract and has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Merseyside.
After scoring his 17th goal of the season in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal on Sunday, the Colombian international suggested that talks about a new contract are imminent.
“Yes, happy. Since the first day I arrived, I have always been happy, calm, enjoying the football that is played in this great team.”

When asked if he would like to stay at Liverpool, Díaz told Telemundo Deportes: “We will be talking about it, we will talk about it [about the renewal]. As for me, I would stay as many years as necessary, it also depends on the club, on everything”.
“These are details that are resolved separately. Very calm, I am happy and enjoying the Premier League.”
This has been Díaz’s most productive season with the Liverpool shirt, as the 28-year-old player has also registered eight assists in all competitions this season.
He has participated in all Premier League matches, except for two of Liverpool’s 36, excelling both on the left wing and in the center of the attack to help Arne Slot’s team secure the club’s twentieth league title.
