Ronaldo, 40 years old, joined Al Nassr in 2022 after his time at Manchester United. The team finished as runners-up in the SPL in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons, and placed a disappointing third last season.
Recently, Ronaldo celebrated his third title with Portugal, scoring a goal in the Nations League final against Spain. “I have many titles with clubs, but nothing is better than winning for Portugal,” he declared excitedly after lifting the trophy.
The new contract with Al Nassr will allow the five-time Ballon d’Or winner to continue his quest for the milestone of 1,000 career goals. Currently, he has 794 goals in clubs and 138 with Portugal, reaching a total of 932.
Ronaldo rejected the option of playing in the FIFA Club World Cup with another club to prepare for the new season with Al Nassr.
