Bale Confirms Interest in Buying Cardiff City: Dream of Return to Football

Gareth Bale, the Welsh legend, has confirmed his interest in acquiring the club of his hometown, Cardiff City. After participating in a failed attempt to acquire Plymouth Argyle, Bale has set his sights on Cardiff, a League One team.

We are interested in getting Cardiff. It’s my home club, it’s where I grew up and my uncle used to play for them.

These were Bale’s words on the red carpet of the premiere of “F1: The Movie”. Bale, who never played for Cardiff City, started his career in Southampton’s youth academy, before going through Tottenham Hotspur, Real Madrid and LAFC. The former footballer expressed his desire to take Cardiff to the Premier League.

It’s a club close to my heart. It’s where I grew up and I would love to be part of Cardiff’s growth and take them to the Premier League, where they belong.
