Ruben Amorim stated that Manchester United has a debt to its fans, after securing their place in the Europa League final.
United secured a 4-1 victory against Athletic Club on Thursday, and a 7-1 aggregate score, which ensures them a match against Tottenham at the San Mamés stadium, in Bilbao, on May 21.
This opportunity gives Amorim’s team the possibility of salvaging something positive from a difficult season, and the Portuguese coach stated that the players must deliver a trophy to their supporters.
It’s the least we can do for these fans, for the support they give us in this tough season, but I’m already stressed about the final.

With Champions League qualification at stake, one of the teams, either United or Tottenham, who are in 15th and 16th positions in the Premier League table, will play in the top European competition next season.
Like Amorim, Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is under pressure to win a trophy. Spurs have already beaten United three times this season: twice in the Premier League and once in the Carabao Cup.
We lost the last three games, so we can win this one.

Both teams will give it their all. The coach’s situation is similar. I know Ange has one more year, but we are both fighting.
We must understand that a final is completely different from the Premier League.
Despite comfortably defeating Athletic Club on aggregate, United did not have an easy path in the second leg.
The Spanish team complicated the match by scoring first, and it wasn’t until Mason Mount, from the bench, scored the equalizing goal in the second half, that United secured their place in the final.
Casemiro and Rasmus Hojlund’s goals, along with Mount’s second goal in added time, gave the score a more resounding appearance than it deserved.
It was a good result, but I think if you analyze both matches, it was much more difficult than the result indicates. We have many weaknesses, but we are fighting, and I think we deserve, if you analyze the two matches, to be in the final.
