The chosen destination is Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the “Riyadh Season” initiative in 2027. Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has been held exclusively in North American cities. This decision marks a significant change in WWE’s global strategy.

The official announcement comes shortly after Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, mentioned the news in a live Snapchat video, which was later deleted.

WWE has been holding events in Saudi Arabia since 2018, as part of a multi-million dollar deal that includes multiple shows in the country over a decade. Next year’s Royal Rumble will be the first of WWE’s four “Big Four” events to be held in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, WrestleMania 42 will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19, 2026, marking the second consecutive time that Las Vegas hosts the event.
