Adrian Kempe Secures His Future with the Los Angeles Kings
The Los Angeles Kings have finalized the contract renewal with the talented winger Adrian Kempe, ensuring his permanence in the team for eight more years.
The agreement, announced this Monday, represents an investment of 10.625 million dollars annually. The Kings’ directive prioritized Kempe’s renewal, considering him a fundamental pillar for the team’s future.
The negotiations extended for several months, and according to sources close to the matter, Kempe would have accepted a contract slightly lower than expected, demonstrating his firm desire to continue his career in Los Angeles, where he trusts he can conquer the Stanley Cup.
The contract extends Kempe’s link with the Kings until the 2033-34 season. The 29-year-old Swedish player has developed his entire professional career in the Californian franchise, since he was selected in the first round of the 2014 draft.
Kempe, who has led the Kings in scoring in the last two seasons, has six goals and 19 points in the 19 games played this season.
