The Princess of Wales Celebrates with the “Red Roses” After Victory at the Women’s Rugby World Cup
The Princess of Wales joined in the celebrations in the England dressing room following their resounding 47-7 victory over Australia in the Women’s Rugby World Cup.
Kate, in her role as patron of the Rugby Football Union, was a prominent spectator at the Amex Stadium in Brighton, witnessing how the “Red Roses” secured their place in the quarter-finals against Scotland and equaled their own world record of 30 consecutive test match victories.
Lark Atkin-Davies, a Bristol player who came off the bench in the second half, revealed in her weekly column on EnglandRugby.com that the princess was not only present as a spectator.

“Last week we had a visit from football royalty when English football star Chloe Kelly watched the match against Samoa, but this week we had a visit from actual royalty,” revealed Atkin-Davies.

“I’m not sure what they talked about, but I’d love to know! I wonder if they told him all the inside gossip from the camp.”
I had the opportunity to chat with her and we talked a bit about the game itself, but she also mentioned that she would love to bring her children to see a match, which would be really great.
As a team, we have a song that we sing after a game and she asked us to sing it to her. She was among all of us while we sang.
