The legendary New Zealand coach joins Peñarol as an advisor to coach Ivo Dugonjic and all Peñarol staff to put all his knowledge at the team’s disposal. The arrival of Gatland represents a significant reinforcement for the Uruguayan team, which has a squad made up mostly of players from the Uruguayan national team. The main objective of this selection is to qualify for the 2027 Rugby World Cup, which will be held in Australia.
