The match lived up to the expectations of a tournament that was looking forward to this type of confrontation. Despite the moments of tension for the “Red Roses”, the fans present at Ashton Gate experienced a memorable spectacle, anticipating next week’s final against Canada.
The expectations of an easy match for the English fans quickly vanished, as France demonstrated their determination from the start.
