England Confirms Lineup for Rugby World Cup Final Against Canada
England has announced its starting lineup and substitutes for the World Cup final to be played on Saturday against Canada at Allianz Stadium. The team, which showed character in the match against France, will seek the title for the first time since 2014. The selection keeps Megan Jones, nominated for World Player of the Year, and Jess Breach in the starting fifteen, who have been starters in the six matches of the “Red Roses” in the tournament. After her outstanding performance against France, where she scored two tries, Ellie Kildunne will lead the English attack against Canada, currently second in the world rankings and who eliminated New Zealand, the current champions, in the semi-finals. Natasha Hunt and Zoe Harrison continue as starting half-backs, while Zoe Aldcroft will captain the team from the flanker position. England is favored to win in a rematch of the 2014 final, but will have to prove its worth on the biggest stage, having participated in six previous finals, winning only one.“Our staff and players have worked hard to reach this stage of the tournament,” commented coach John Mitchell.

“Playing a World Cup final at the Allianz Stadium in front of a record 82,000 spectators is a significant milestone for the sport. We are well prepared for the challenge against Canada. It’s number one versus number two in the world, and we know the match will demand a full 80 minutes. Our focus remains on maintaining our process and executing effectively.”
