The Minnesota Wild secure the continuity of forward Marcus Johansson with a one-year contract for $800,000.
The announcement was made on Monday, marking a key agreement for the team.
Johansson, 34, proved his worth in the 2024-25 season by scoring 34 points, distributed in 11 goals and 23 assists, in a total of 72 games played with the Wild. The Swedish-born player reached a significant milestone in his career by obtaining his 500th point, thanks to an assist in a match against Detroit on February 22nd.Over 15 seasons in the NHL, Johansson has accumulated 517 points, resulting from 185 goals and 332 assists, in 983 games played with six different teams.
The player was originally selected in the first round of the 2009 draft by the Washington Capitals.
