Wennberg Secures His Future: Extends Contract with the Sharks for 3 Years

SAN JOSE, California – The San Jose Sharks have secured the continuity of forward Alexander Wennberg with a three-year contract extension for $18 million, as announced this Sunday.

Wennberg, 31, was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. However, both sides reached an agreement for the player to remain in San Jose.

In the current season, Wennberg has accumulated seven goals and 19 assists. In addition, he was selected to represent Sweden in the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics.

Throughout his career, Wennberg has recorded 108 goals and 288 assists in 830 games played with the Sharks, the New York Rangers, Seattle, Florida, and Columbus. The player joined the Sharks as a free agent before last season.
