Mark Stone, Golden Knights captain, suffers wrist injury
Las Vegas – Golden Knights captain Mark Stone appeared to suffer a wrist injury during the third period of Vegas’ 6-1 victory over the Calgary Flames on Saturday night.
Coach Bruce Cassidy reported that Stone’s status will be known on Sunday or Monday.
Stone left the ice midway through the third period and headed to the locker room.
Before leaving the game, Stone accumulated two goals and two assists, extending his point streak to six games, with a total of two goals and eleven assists.
When healthy, Stone has been one of the Golden Knights’ most prominent players, although he has had difficulty avoiding injuries. Last season, he played 66 games, his highest number since the 2018-19 season, in which he participated in 77 games.
