Lane Lambert new coach of the Seattle Kraken

The Seattle Kraken announced on Thursday night the hiring of Lane Lambert as their third head coach in team history. Lambert takes over after the dismissal of Dan Bylsma, who was fired after one season. Lambert, 60, was head coach of the New York Islanders from 2022 until he was fired on January 20, 2024. During his time with the Islanders, he had a record of 61-46-20 and managed to qualify the team for the playoffs on one occasion. Last season, the former NHL player served as an assistant coach in Toronto.

I am very excited to become the head coach of the Seattle Kraken. When it was time to write a new chapter, I couldn’t think of a better place.
