NHL Legends Headline the 2025 U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Class
Joe Pavelski, Zach Parise, and Scott Gomez, emblematic figures of the NHL, lead the prestigious 2025 class of the United States Hockey Hall of Fame. Alongside them, Olympic defender Tara Mounsey, a gold medalist, and renowned photographer Bruce Bennett will also be honored at a special ceremony in St. Paul, Minnesota. USA Hockey made the official announcement on Wednesday, revealing the five new members who will be inducted into the Hall of Fame.Scott Gomez, one of the first Latino players in the league, left an indelible mark on hockey history by being the first to come from Alaska. His outstanding career includes two Stanley Cup victories with the New Jersey Devils. With careers that largely crossed paths, Gomez, Pavelski, and Parise amassed a total of 53 seasons in the NHL, in addition to representing the United States in the Olympic Games. Tara Mounsey, for her part, was key in the conquest of the first gold medal in women’s hockey for the United States in the 1998 Games, and was also part of the team that reached the final in 2002.All these members share a common bond through the Winter Olympics. It is appropriate, as we prepare for another Olympic and Paralympic year, that these personalities be honored together in the Hall.
Pat Kelleher, Executive Director of USA Hockey
Bruce Bennett, with a career spanning 50 years, has captured nearly 6,000 hockey games with his lens, both in the NHL and internationally.Being part of that team was incredible. Looking back and seeing how women’s ice hockey has exploded since 1998 is impressive, as are the opportunities young women have on the ice and the role models they have.
