Panthers with good news for the Stanley Cup Final
The Florida Panthers coach, Paul Maurice, announced good news for the team ahead of Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Edmonton Oilers. Eetu Luostarinen and Anton Lundell will be ready to play on Wednesday night in Edmonton. Both players suffered injuries in the Game 5 victory that secured the pass to the final against the Carolina Hurricanes.
A.J. Greer’s status for the first game of the series against the Oilers is uncertain. Greer missed Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals and was only on the ice for 4:22 in Game 5 due to a lower-body injury.
The three players did not participate in Saturday’s practice, the team’s first training session since the defending champions secured their place in a rematch of the final with Edmonton.
I think the only question mark is Greer. We’ll list him as day-to-day. The other guys are fine. They’ll be back on the ice tomorrow when we do a little optional practice.
