“Be A Pro” Returns with Updates in NHL 26

EA Sports has announced that the “Be A Pro” game mode will be back in NHL 26, the next ice hockey simulation. This single-player mode has been completely revamped, putting a greater emphasis on player decisions.
The developer has reduced the amount of dialogue, eliminating scenes that some considered filler. Instead, they will focus on conversations that generate meaningful choices for the player’s path. This focus on consequences also extends to performance on the ice: if the player does not meet expectations, they could be sent to the AHL.
Before the NHL Draft begins, players will have the opportunity to impress scouts with an outstanding performance at the World Junior Championship, representing their country. However, failure at this event could diminish their chances on draft night.
A new collection of cinematics and scenes has been designed to increase the emotional impact of the player’s journey. From winning the Youth World Championship to a well-deserved retirement ceremony, important milestones in the player’s career will be illustrated in a spectacular way.
Reporters will react dynamically to on-field performances, praising or criticizing the player. These responses will influence stat bonuses or goals to be achieved.
In NHL 26, the “Be A Pro” narrative will be structured in chapters, a system that seems to have been inspired by Madden NFL 26. Each chapter will include specific challenges and crucial decisions that will give the player greater control.
The athlete’s energy management will be fundamental in this renewed mode, impacting their growth, health, and long-term progress, such as unlocking skills and X-factors. Finding a balance between training, performance, and recovery will be key to success.
