Matthew Tkachuk Stars on the Cover of NHL 26
EA Sports has revealed Matthew Tkachuk as the cover star for NHL 26. The highly anticipated ice hockey title is scheduled for release on September 12, 2025, and will be available for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Tkachuk has been a key piece in the recent consecutive Stanley Cup victories of the Florida Panthers, including the decisive goal in this year’s matchup against the Edmonton Oilers.
While Matthew Tkachuk is the only figure on the cover of the Standard Edition, his relatives will also have a special place in the Deluxe Edition.
In the Deluxe Edition, his brother Brady and his father Keith join him. The Tkachuks follow in the footsteps of the Quinn, Jack, and Luke Hughes brothers, who graced the cover of the previous edition.
The Deluxe Edition will include one week early access and several in-game items. Both versions of the game will offer pre-order benefits, such as a 99 OVR card for the current edition of the series.
NHL 26 promises an enhanced gameplay experience with NHL EDGE data, X-Factors that boost player abilities, a revamped “Be A Pro” mode that follows an athlete’s journey from rookie to superstar, and the new HUT Seasons mode.
