Alex Laferriere Secures His Future with the Kings: Signs for Three Years

Forward Alex Laferriere has agreed to extend his stay with the Los Angeles Kings. The contract, with a duration of three years, is valued at 12.3 million dollars. The Kings made the official announcement this Saturday, confirming the agreement with Laferriere, who was in a restricted free agent condition this summer, after his entry-level contract ended. Laferriere, 23, proved to be a key player during the past season, scoring 19 goals and providing 23 assists. His performance solidified him as a reliable scorer in his second season in the NHL. Regularly, Laferriere played on the right wing, sharing a line with Quinton Byfield and Kevin Fiala, important elements in the young core of Los Angeles. Selected in the third round of the 2020 draft, Laferriere has 31 goals and 34 assists in 158 games played with the Kings. The new general manager of Los Angeles, Ken Holland, has resolved the most urgent contractual issues of this summer with the signing of Laferriere. Holland also expressed his interest in securing a long-term agreement with Adrian Kempe, who is in the final season of his contract.
