Alex Laferriere Secures His Future with the Kings with a Multi-Million Dollar Contract

Forward Alex Laferriere has reached an agreement to extend his stay with the Los Angeles Kings, signing a three-year contract for $12.3 million.

The news was announced on Saturday by the Kings organization, thus ensuring the continuity of Laferriere, who was in a restricted free agent condition after his entry-level contract ended.

Laferriere, 23, proved to be a key player during the past season, accumulating 19 goals and 23 assists. His performance solidified him as a reliable scorer in his second year in the NHL, playing primarily on the right wing alongside Quinton Byfield and Kevin Fiala.

Selected in the third round of the 2020 draft, Laferriere has accumulated 31 goals and 34 assists in 158 games with the Kings.

The new general manager of Los Angeles, Ken Holland, has resolved one of the most urgent contractual issues of the summer with the signing of Laferriere. Holland also expressed his interest in negotiating a long-term contract with Adrian Kempe, who is in the final season of his contract.
