Ryker Evans Secures His Future with the Seattle Kraken
Seattle Kraken defenseman Ryker Evans has signed a two-year contract extension, securing his place on the team through the 2026-27 season. The deal has an average annual value of $2.05 million. Evans, 23, had a standout first full season in the NHL, accumulating 25 points thanks to five goals and 20 assists in 73 games. Selected in the second round of the 2021 draft by Seattle, Evans made his NHL debut on December 7, 2023.Botterill added that they are confident that Evans will continue to improve his game next season. The defenseman, standing at 6 feet and weighing 195 pounds, has 34 points in 109 NHL games. Evans also made his international debut this year, representing Team Canada at the World Hockey Championship, where he recorded two assists in eight games.“Ryker took a positive step in his first full season in the NHL,” stated General Manager Jason Botterill.
