Abbotsford Canucks Conquer the Calder Cup!

Charlotte, N.C. – In an exciting match, the Abbotsford Canucks were crowned Calder Cup champions by defeating the Charlotte Checkers with a score of 3-2 last Monday night. Linus Karlsson was the hero of the match, scoring the decisive goal at the end of the second period.

The Abbotsford team, affiliated with the Vancouver Canucks, made history by winning their first AHL championship. In addition, they became the first Canadian team to lift the trophy since the Toronto Marlies achieved it in 2018.

Sammy Blais and Danila Klimovich also contributed to the score for the Canucks. Arshdeep Bains stood out with two assists. Arturs Silovs, for his part, had an outstanding performance in goal, accumulating 28 saves.
