Matt Duchene Signs Multi-Year Contract with the Dallas Stars
FRISCO, Texas – The Dallas Stars have secured the continuity of forward Matt Duchene with a four-year contract valued at 18 million dollars. The announcement was made by general manager Jim Nill this Thursday. Duchene will have a $4.5 million cap hit through the 2028-29 season.Duchene proved to be a consistent player, averaging a point per game, with a total of 82 points in 82 games, during his second season with the Stars. In the playoffs, where the Stars reached the Western Conference final before falling to the Edmonton Oilers, Duchene recorded a goal and five assists in 16 games. At 34 years old, Duchene is preparing for his 17th season in the NHL.
